Moses Supposes was scheduled to begin previews Oct. 8, but aspects of the technical production prompted the change in the performance schedule. The comedy will open as scheduled Oct. 15. Lee Sankowich (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) directs the engagement that will run through Dec. 4.

Known for her roles in "The Great Gatsby," "Five Easy Pieces," "Easy Rider" and Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, Black leads a cast that also includes Drama Desk Award nominee David Proval (Requiem for a Heavyweight, Glengarry Glen Ross), Elijah Kranski and Sarah Sankowich.

"In Moses Supposes," according to the creators, "Cookie and Marvin Green's adult children, Cece and Raymond, have returned to their Southern Jewish home to throw their parents a 35th wedding anniversary party. But everyone has chosen this same weekend to reveal their own surprises, and the ensuing mishegas turns the celebration upside down. There are non-stop laughs as the Green family discovers that after 35 years, maybe they don't know each other quite as well as they thought they did. Just as 'Moses Supposes his toeses are roses'... the entire Green family supposes erroneously."

The production has set design by Adam Hunter, lighting design by Matt Richter, costume design by Joanna Leskow and sound design by Norman Kern.
