Off-Broadway News World Premiere of Nilo Cruz's Exquisita Agonía Announces Its Cast Off-Broadway Luz Nicolas and German Jamarillo will lead the Repertorio Español production.

Repertorio Español, the long-running Off-Broadway company that stages Spanish-language/English-translated plays in repertory, continues its 50th anniversary season with the world premiere of Exquisita Agonía (Exquisite Agony) by Anna in the Tropics Pulitzer Prize winner Nilo Cruz.

The play follows a middle-aged woman’s obsessive quest to find love with a young man who is transformed by a heart transplant. José Zayas directs, with performances scheduled to begin May 25 and continue through August 3.

Leading the cast will be Luz Nicolas (Digital Eye) and German Jamarillo (No One Writes To The Colonel), who are joined by Hannia Guillen (Probation, Bathing In Moonlight), Gonzalo Trigueros (Julian & Romero), Gilberto Diaz (La Llave De Mi Corazon), and Pedro de Leon (That Bachelorette Show).
