Directed by artistic director Gordon Edelstein and featuring an introductory scene by Paula Fourie, the play continues through April 27 at Stage II.

Joining Fugard in the cast are Aiden McMillan and Dermot McMillan, alternating in the role of his grandson Boba.

"When Fugard's character is visited by his ten-year-old grandson (who is playing hooky from school) the two spend a memorable afternoon together," press notes state. "The boy reminds the old man of his lost sense of wonder, while the child is given a bit of hard-earned wisdom. In a charming meditation on the beauty and transience of the world around us, Fugard continues to mine the depths of the human spirit with profound empathy and heart."

The creative team includes Fourie, who wrote the introductory scene with extracts from Fugard's unpublished notebooks, Eugene Lee (sets), Susan Hilferty (costumes), Michael Chybowski (lights) and John Gromada (sound). Jason Kaiser is the stage manager.

Fugard's plays also include Blood Knot, My Children! My Africa!No-Good Friday, Nongogo, Hello and Goodbye, People are Living There, Boesman and Lena, Statements After an Arrest, Under the Immorality Act, Sizwe Banzi is Dead, Dimetos, The Island, A Lesson From Aloes, "Master Harold"…and the Boys, The Road to Mecca, A Place With the Pigs, Playland, Valley Song, The Captain's Tiger, Sorrows and Rejoicings, Exits and Entrances, Victory, Coming Home and The Bird Watchers.
