LOS ANGELES -- Peter Wren's Billy Bob and the Gospel, seen earlier this year at the Tamarind Theatre, has reopened at the Stella Adler Theatre for a 1-month run through Nov. 22. The play has been rewritten, has a new director, Russell Gray, and a new lead actor, Jeremy Ratchford, in the role of Billy Bob, the hard-drinking ex-con with a gift.

Billy Bob tells the story of "a corrupt revivalist Appalachian preacher who gets his comeuppance when his ex-con brother swaggers back into his life to collect his inheritance and birthright," said a company spokesperson.

Reprising their roles from the previous production are Wayne Duvall, Jane George and Kristen Getchel.

The Stella Adler Theatre is located at 6773 Hollywood Blvd, 2nd floor. Call (323) 660-TKTS.
