News Wright and Woods to Return to Broadway's Chicago; Henshall Extends Amra-Faye Wright and Carol Woods will return to the cast of the Tony-winning revival of Chicago July 13 in the roles of, respectively, Velma Kelly and Matron "Mama" Morton.

Wright will succeed Terra C. MacLeod, who plays her final performance at the Ambassador Theatre July 11. Woods succeeds Terri White, who also ends her run that day.

In other Chicago news, West End leading lady Ruthie Henshall has extended her Broadway run as Roxie Hart through Aug. 29. The current company also features Colman Domingo as Billy Flynn and Tom Riis Farrell as Amos Hart.

As previously announced, John O'Hurley returns as Billy Flynn for a six-week limited enagement, July 20-Aug. 29.

Carol Woods' numerous theatrical credits include The Full Monty, Chicago, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Steppin' Out, The Goodbye Girl, Grind, Big River and the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies. Woods' London credits include Blues in the Night, for which she received an Olivier Award nomination, and the National Theatre's production of Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. The singer-actress was also seen in Julie Taymor's "Across the Universe."

In addition to the New York, London and South African companies of Chicago, Amra-Faye Wright's other theatrical credits include Vi Moore in Footloose (U.K. tour), Sandy in Grease (Johannesburg Superbowl) and Sheila in A Chorus Line (Civic Theatre, Johannesburg).

Chicago won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking. The original production was directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse.

Chicago plays the Ambassador Theatre, located at 219 West 49th Street.
