News Wright's Water Flowers at Edge Theatre March 26 Craig Wright's Orange Flower Water, which has received regional productions, will get its New York bow at the hands of the Edge Theater Company March 26-May 8. Opening is April 7.

The cast under Carolyn Cantor's direction includes Arija Bareikis (Intimate Apparel), Pamela J. Gray, Jason Butler Harner (Hedda Gabler at New York Theatre Workshop) and Paul Sparks (Bug).

The play is about two married couples, David and Cathy Larson and Brad and Beth Youngquist, who live with their children in Pine City, Minnesota. When David and Beth begin an affair, there are disastrous consequences. All the scenes take place on or around a single bed. 

Craig Wright is known in Hollywood as a writer for “Six Feet Under” and in New York for the 9/11-themed play Recent Tragic Events, seen Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons.

Orange Flower Water has scenic design by David Korins, lighting design by Ben Stanton, costume design by Jenny Mannis, and sound design by Eric Shim. 

Carolyn Cantor and David Korins founded Edge Theater Company in 2001 after several years of collaboration at the Williamstown Theater Festival and in New York City.  The company is "dedicated to producing innovative, challenging work of exceptional quality and imagination with a particular emphasis on new plays."
