The original Danny and Sandy for this production, Danny Bayne and Susan McFadden, were also found via reality TV on the casting program, "Grease Is the Word." Bayne will stay on to play Danny, and will be newly joined by Nicola Brazil as Sandy.

Quinn began his professional career as a child actor, playing bullied schoolboy Anthony Murray in the Channel 4 series "Brookside," for which he earned a soap award in 2002 for best dramatic performance. After coming head-to-head with Leona Lewis on "X-Factor," Simon Cowell offered him a record deal, and his debut album, "Doing It My Way," became a Platinum-selling chart topper.

Nicola Brazil, who will be the new Sandy, made her West End debut in Wicked.

As of June 16, the cast will also feature Stuart Ramsay (Kenickie), Natalie Langston (Rizzo), Kristofer Harding (Roger), Bennett Andrews (Sonny), Emily Bull (Frenchy), Laura Wilson (Jan), Emma Stephens (Marty), Jason Capewell (Vince/Teen Angel), Benjamin Ibbott (Eugene), Emma Green (Patty), Chloe Brooks (Miss Lynch) and Kristina Macmillan (Cha Cha) with other parts played by the ensemble.
