Xanadu's Testa to Sing Harry, Hoagy & Harold at Carnegie Hall

News   Xanadu's Testa to Sing Harry, Hoagy & Harold at Carnegie Hall Mary Testa, who is currently featured in the new Broadway musical Xanadu, will be one of the performers taking part in Harry, Hoagy & Harold Feb. 5 and 7 at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall.

Presented by the New York Festival of Song, the 8 PM concerts will also boast the talents of soprano Jonita Lattimore and baritone James Martin. Steven Blier will be featured at the piano with Greg Utzig on guitar/banjo and Vince Giordano on bass.

Audiences can expect to hear songs by Harry Warren, Hoagy Carmichael and Harold Arlen. Among the titles that will be included in the concert are "Sleepin' Bee," "Last Night When We Were Young," "Old Buttermilk Sky," "Jeepers Creepers," "Skylark," "Buds Won't Bud," "That Old Black Magic," "Come On Midnight," "How Little We Know" and "The Nearness of You," among others.

On Broadway Mary Testa has been seen in Chicago, Barnum, Marilyn, The Rink, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, On the Town, Marie Christine and 42nd Street, earning Tony nominations for her work in On the Town and 42nd Street. Recently seen Off-Broadway in See What I Wanna See, her other theatre credits include String of Pearls, Lend Me a Tenor, The Vagina Monologues, The Wax, From Above (Obie Award), Lucky Stiff, In Trousers, Tartuffe and On the Town (Obie Award).
