Classic Arts News Yefim Bronfman to Appear at Free Interview in New York, January 3 Pianist Yefim Bronfman will appear in an hour-long conversation with New York Philharmonic president Zarin Mehta on January 3.
The free event, at the Barnes & Noble store adjacent to Lincoln Center, is the first installment of the Philharmonic's monthly Offstage at Barnes & Noble series. It begins at 7 p.m.

Bronfman plays Bart‹k's Piano Concerto No. 2 at three Philharmonic concerts, January 6-8. The concerts, conducted by Daniele Gatti, also include Schumann' s Manfred Overture and Brahms' Fourth Symphony.

The Soviet-born Bronfman grew up in Israel and made his debut with the Montreal Symphony in 1975, while still a teenager. He first appeared with the Philharmonic in 1978. He has since won a Grammy Award and an Avery Fisher Award.
