Director Evan Yionoulis, director of Off Broadway’s Three Days of Rain and The Maiden’s Prayer, has been named chair of the Yale Drama School’s acting department, Variety reported. Yionoulis, a graduate of Yale and its drama school, was also named a resident director at Yale Repertory Theatre, directing Yale Rep’s Galileo Oct. 22-Nov. 14.
Nicky Silver's The Maiden's Prayer was mounted at the Vineyard Theatre last season. Helming Richard Greenberg’s Three Days of Rain at Manhattan Theatre Club earned Yionoulis an Obie Award.
