News York to Offer Conversation with Charles Strouse June 26 John Kenrick's Musical Conversations series at the York Theatre Company will continue June 26 with One Night Only: A Chat with Charles Strouse.

The 7:30 PM event will feature an interview with the award-winning composer conducted by host Kenrick. Strouse will discuss It's a Bird. . . It's a Plane . . . It's Superman and I and Albert, which are both part of the York's current Musicals in Mufti season. He will also chat about his Tony-winning hits Applause, Annie and Bye Bye Birdie. Upcoming Musical Conversations are set for July 10 (Guilty Pleasures: Cult Musical Favorites) and July 24 (I Remember It Well: The Musicals of Lerner and Loewe).

Charles Strouse won Best Score Tony Awards for Annie (with lyricist Martin Charnin) and Applause (with Lee Adams). His other musicals include Bye Bye Birdie, Applause, "It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman!", Bring Back Birdie, Annie Warbucks, Golden Boy, A Broadway Musical, I and Albert, Charlie and Algernon, Rags, Dance a Little Closer and All American.
