News You Never Can Tell Begins Performances Sept. 3 at Pearl Theatre Company Pearl Theatre Company kicks off its 30th anniversary season with a production of George Bernard Shaw's You Never Can Tell, presented in collaboration with Gingold Theatrical Group.

The revival, the first New York-based production in 15 years, begins performances Sept. 3 prior to an official opening Sept. 15. You Never Can Tell runs through Oct. 13.

Directed by David Staller, the cast features Leslie Brown as Mrs. Clandon, Bradford Cover as Fergus Crampton, Dominic Cuskern as Finch McComas, Dan Daily as Walter Boon and Sean McNall as Mr. Valentine. The cast also includes Ben Charles as Philip Clandon, Amelia Pedlow as Gloria Clandon, Zachary Spicer as Walter Bohun and Emma Wisniewski as Dolly Clandon.

"It's the turn of the 20th century and a world famous author and her grown children have returned to England after 18 years abroad," press notes state. "But when her missing husband (who may also be the missing father) appears out of the blue, this fascinating troupe faces love, family, money, sex, social and political issues, women's rights — and the dangers of dentists in love."

The creative team includes Harry Feiner (sets), Barbara Bell (costumes), Stephen Petrilli (lighting), M.L. Dogg (sound), Kate Farrington (dramaturg) and April Kline (production stage manager).

Gingold Theatrical Group is dedicated to presenting works about human rights using the work of Shaw as a platform.

Founded in 1984, The Pearl, which is New York's only classical resident company, "has produced a body of work encompassing the full breadth of theatre history, from ancient Greek tragedy to contemporary works rooted in the classics."

The 2013-14 season also includes the premiere of four-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally's And Away We Go and new productions of Jean-Paul Sartre's No Exit and Richard Brinsley Sheridan's The Rivals.
