Eric Jordan Young will be part of the five-person cast of Opening Doors, the Stephen Sondheim revue that will play Zankel Hall in the fall.

Young joins the previously announced Gregg Edelman, Victoria Clark, Carolee Carmello and Kate Baldwin. David Kernan directs the production, which will play Zankel Hall Sept. 30-Oct. 9 with an official opening set for Oct. 5. The revue, first staged in London and then titled Moving On, features more than 40 Sondheim classics and will take the theatregoer “on a musical journey through Sondheim’s life, illustrated by images, song and personal narration by the composer.”

In addition to director Kernan, the creative team will also include James Scott Wise (choreographer), Walt Spangler (scenic designer), Jane Greenwood (costume consultant), Peter Hylenski (sound designer), Jason Carr (musical arrangements), Rob Berman (music director and piano).

Composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim has written a plethora of musicals, including A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Company, A Little Night Music, Into the Woods, Merrily We Roll Along, Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George and Passion. He also contributed lyrics to West Side Story and Gypsy, and his newest musical, Bounce, recently played Chicago and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. His revised production of The Frogs — starring Nathan Lane — is currently on stage at Lincoln Center Theater. Sondheim was also celebrated at the Kennedy Center with all-star stagings of six of his musicals — Company, Sweeney, Merrily, Night Music, Sunday and Passion.

On Broadway Eric Jordan Young has been seen in Chicago, Seussical and Ragtime. The actor's Off-Broadway credits include Little Fish, Mr. President and Side Show. Young's national tour credits feature roles in Chicago, Ragtime, Dreamgirls and Starlight Express.
