A start city, schedule and casting have not been announced, but the trade paper reported that long engagements are not expected. Producer Robert F.X. Sillerman told the paper that "most engagements are two to four weeks" and that "very few are six weeks."

The musical based on the motion picture continues its Broadway run at the Hilton Theatre. Susan Stroman directs and choreographs.

The sendup of the classic Hollywood "Frankenstein" pictures is now a full-out musical comedy, with songs by Brooks, dance and plenty of salacious humor. The show was named Best Musical by the Outer Critics Circle in 2008.
