The Young Vic revival of Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, starring Sienna Miller and Jack O’Connell, begins its 12-week West End run July 13 at the Apollo Theatre.

In addition to Miller (After Miss Julie, The Girl, Foxcatcher) as Maggie and O’Connell (Scarborough, Unbroken, 300) as Brick, the cast also includes Lisa Palfrey (Big Mama), Hayley Squires (Mae) and Brian Gleeson (Gooper), with Richard Hansel (Doctor), and Michael J. Shannon (Reverend).

Directed by Benedict Andrews, the revival will open July 24 for a run through October 7. The revival is the first Young Vic production to open directly on the West End.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof features set design by Magda Willi, costume design by Alice Babidge, lighting design by Jon Clark, and sound design by Gareth Fry.

On a steamy night in Mississippi, a Southern family gather at their cotton plantation to celebrate Big Daddy’s birthday. The scorching heat is almost as oppressive as the lies they tell. Brick and Maggie dance round the secrets and sexual tensions that threaten to destroy their marriage. With the future of the family at stake, which version of the truth is real—and which will win out?
