News "You're Gonna Love Tomorrow": Broadway Revival of Follies Extends The lavish, critically praised Broadway revival of Follies, the Stephen Sondheim-James Goldman musical about a group of former Follies stars who reunite for a final encore, will haunt the Marquis Theatre for an additional three weeks, according to the New York Times.

Eric Schaeffer directs the production, which opened on Broadway Sept. 12, following a late spring engagement at the Kennedy Center earlier this year. Follies was originally scheduled to conclude Dec. 30, but will now continue through Jan. 22, 2012.

Bernadette Peters, Jan Maxwell, Danny Burstein, Ron Raines, Elaine Paige, Jayne Houdyshell, Terri White and Rosalind Elias are among the stars who bring a bygone era to life. Critics embraced the staging that boasts a 28-piece orchestra and choreography by Warren Carlyle.

PS Classics will release the starry cast album Nov. 29.

The principal foursome who reunite to hash out old affairs and stumble through a song or two includes two-time Tony Award winner Peters as Sally Durant Plummer, four-time Tony nominee Maxwell as Phyllis Rogers Stone, two-time Tony nominee Burstein as Buddy Plummer and three-time Emmy Award nominee Raines as Benjamin Stone.

Completing the Follies cast of showgirls and their stage door Johnnys are Olivier Award winner Paige as Carlotta Campion, Tony nominee Houdyshell as Hattie Walker, White as Stella Deems, Metropolitan opera star Elias as Heidi Schiller, as well as Colleen Fitzpatrick as Dee Dee West, Michael Hayes as Roscoe, Florence Lacey as Sandra Crane, Tony nominee Mary Beth Peil as Solange LaFitte, David Sabin as Dimitri Weismann, Don Correia as Theodore Whitman, Tony Award nominee Susan Watson as Emily Whitman, Frederick Strother as Max Deems, Christian Delcroix as Young Buddy, Nick Verina as Young Ben, Lora Lee Gayer as Young Sally, Kirsten Scott as Young Phyllis and Leah Horowitz as Young Heidi. The ensemble includes Lawrence Alexander, Brandon Bieber, John Carroll, Mathew deGuzman, Sara Edwards, Leslie Donna Flesner, Jenifer Foote, Suzanne Hylenski, Danielle Jordan, Joseph Kolinski, Amanda Kloots-Larsen, Brittany Marcin, Erin N. Moore, Pamela Otterson, Clifton Samuels, Kiira Schmidt, Brian Shepard, Jessica Sheridan, Amos Wolff and Ashley Yeater.

The production has scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Kai Harada and features Jonathan Tunick's original orchestrations.

Follies has a score by Stephen Sondheim and a book by the late James Goldman. It was originally directed and produced on Broadway by Harold Prince in 1971 at the Winter Garden Theatre.
