Twelfth Night, The Glass Menagerie, Here Lies Love and More Top 2013 "Best of Theatre" Lists As 2013 comes to a close, various theatre critics have published their lists of favorite theatrical experiences of the year (including Playbill staffers). Playbill.com has compiled a list of the lists to see which productions were most unforgettable.

Of the 13 lists that follow, the most mentioned production was William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, starring Mark Rylance, with 12. The Glass Menagerie and Off-Broadway's Here Lies Love were listed nine times, with Broadway's Matilda and Pippin and Off-Broadway's Fun Home and Buyer & Cellar at seven.

Other productions with multiple mentions include Broadway's After Midnight and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder at five, and Off-Broadway's Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play; Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812; and The Flick with four.
