You're Welcome America also features Michael Delaney as Dr. Scott Blumeth, Patrick Ferrell as a Secret Service Operative, Pia Glenn as Condoleezza Rice and Adam Mucci as the Pilot. Mindy Haywood is the understudy for the role of Condoleezza Rice.
You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W Bush, which casts Ferrell as President George W. Bush, is directed by Adam McKay, Ferrell's longtime collaborator, and director of the comedy films "Anchorman," "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" and the recent "Step Brothers," all Ferrell vehicles. The limited run will end March 15. "It's time for a change in America, but not without a few parting words from the 43rd President of the United States," according to You're Welcome America press notes. The production features scenic design by Eugene Lee, costume design by Tom Broecker, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt, sound design by Peter Fitzgerald and video design by Lisa Cuscuna/Chris Cronin with choreography by Matt Williams and flying effects by Flying by Foy. Charles Means is the production stage manager.
In addition to his work on "Saturday Night Live," Will Ferrell has enjoyed much success on the silver screen. His many films include "Stranger Than Fiction," "Winter Passing," "Bewitched," "Kicking & Screaming," "Melinda and Melinda," "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," "Starsky & Hutch," "Elf," "Old School," "Zoolander," "The Ladies Man," "Superstar," "A Night at the Roxbury" and "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery." Ferrell also played Franz Liebkind in the film musical "The Producers."
