Yvonne Shafer, author of "Performing O’Neill," will talk about the playwright in question, as well as the many great actors who have played his roles, at a book signing in Monte Cristo Cottage, Eugene O’Neill’s childhood home in Connecticut. Shafer’s presentation and signing will take place July 7, at 11 AM. Admission is free. The Monte Cristo Cottage is the setting for two of O’Neill’s most famous plays, Long Day’s Journey Into Night and Ah, Wilderness!. The house is named in honor of O'Neill's father's most popular role. The building is a Registered National Landmark and a museum for O’Neill. The O'Neill Center bought the cottage in 1974.
