The newly founded company, which aims to produce new commissions, and rarely produced works that fall outside the general opera canon, offers the festival that will run through Jan. 31. Addams Family cast member Zachary James will emcee the evening that features one-act operas including Two Blind Beggars by Jacques Offenbach, featuring Kevin Greene and Iris Karlin; Feast in Time of Plague by César Cui, with Rebecca Blinder, Jessica Kimple, Jason Thoms and Kannan Vasudevan; and the world premiere of Bully Pulpit, by Kristin Hevner, and featuring members of the Metropolis company.

The production team for the One Act Festival includes David Chapman, Jay Cohen, Kiersten Cunningham, Audrey Ellis, Douglas Martin, Amanda Morton, Tamilla Woodard, Jonathan Rose and J. David Williams, with designs by Adrianna Desier Durantt, Tamara Kopko, Pat Marcus and DOTTY.
