The touring Tommy Tune production of Grease! will finally rock 'n' roll into Los Angeles, April 9-27, at the Wilshire Theatre. Tickets are now on sale for the engagement. The year 1997 marks the 25th anniversary of the opening of the original Grease! on Broadway, where the show has been enjoying a long-running revival, produced by Fran and Barry Weissler, since April 1994. The tour is also produced by the Weisslers.
The L.A. cast will star Adrienne Zmed and Sally Struthers, and the role of "Rizzo" will be shared by Sheena Easton (first two weeks) and Mackenzie Phillips (final week). All four cast members appeared at one time or another in the recent Broadway revival.
