Lister-Jones (Broadway's The Little Dog Laughed), as the writer who organizes the group, joins Jeff Goldblum (The Pillowman) and Justin Long (TV's "Ed") for their first performances at the Golden Theatre on April 3. Orginal cast members Jerry O'Connell and Hettienne Park are extending their stays with the show.
The new quintet is set to play eight weeks, from April 3 through May 27.
In Seminar, "four aspiring young novelists sign up for private writing classes with Leonard, an international literary figure. Under his recklessly brilliant and unorthodox instruction, some thrive and others flounder, alliances are made and broken, sex is used as a weapon and hearts are unmoored. The wordplay is not the only thing that turns vicious as innocence collides with experience in this provocative new comedy."
Pulitzer Prize finalist and Peabody Award winner Theresa Rebeck wrote the plays Mauritius, The Scene, The Understudy and Omnium Gatherum (among many others), was an "NYPD Blue" writer and created the NBC series "Smash."
