According to Deadline.com, Ghost:The Musical's Dave Stewart will move forward with 'Zombie Broadway' – a feature adaptation of the graphic novel about an undead uprising on Broadway.

Pam Williams and David Jacobson ("The Butler") will also produce, Cole Haddon (NBC's "Dracula") will write the script and Jonas Akerlund will direct.

The film will follow Broadway performers as they battle the undead with the power of showtunes; it's also described as Rocky Horror meets Bullets Over Broadway.

First Artist Ventures will control early development financing, while more work is done.

Stewart is no stranger to merging words and music – in addition to penning the music and lyrics for Ghost with Glen Ballard, also wrote a 2004 stage musical adaptation of 'Barbarella.'

"Zombie Broadway" aims to begin filming in 2015.
