ED FITZGERALD
has been a stage manager for 32 years. In New York, he started Off
Off-Broadway in 1976 and has since done Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional, touring, dance, opera, festivals and special
events for the usual well-known institutions. For a while he did sound design, co-owned a recording studio and worked with a
talented songwriter and his rock bands; for a while he was a production manager. His homes are at MTC, beginning in 1981,
and with David Gordon's PickUp Performance Company, since 1992. He worked on the usual long list of shows, most of
which you've never heard of, some you've forgotten you saw and even a few you'd fondly remember. He says "Hello" to all
the stage managers reading this bio.
