TERRENCE McNALLY Among the many plays of his that premiered at MTC are Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune; Love! Valour! Compassion!; The Lisbon Traviata; A Perfect Ganesh; Lips Together, Teeth Apart; Corpus Christi; and It’s Only a Play. Some of his other plays are The Ritz, Some Men, Deuce, And Things That Go Bump in the Night and Bad Habits. For the musical theatre, he wrote the librettos for Ragtime, The Full Monty, The Kiss of the Spider Woman and A Man of No Importance, among others. Andre’s Mother, which began at MTC, won an Emmy when it was presented on PBS. A four-time Tony Award winner, he was given the Dramatists Guild Lifetime Achievement Award this winter. He lives and works in New York City with his spouse, Tom Kirdahy, a producer and public interest lawyer.
