MOLLY RINGWALD
MOLLY RINGWALD (Sally Bowles) joins the company after playing the role of Susan in the Off-Broadway show tick, tick...BOOM! Additional theatre credits include How I Learned to Drive at New York's Century Theatre and the play's original Los Angeles production at the Mark Taper Forum. She originated the title role in Horton Foote's Lily Dale, which earned her a Theatre World Award, and performed in a staged reading of Salome with Al Pacino at Circle Rep. Her film credits include The Tempest with John Cassavetes and Gena Rowlands, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, The Pick-Up Artist, Fresh Horses, Jean-Luc Godard's King Lear, Betsy's Wedding, Cut, In the Weeds, Sling Blade with Billy Bob Thornton and Office Killer directed by Cindy Sherman. Foreign films include Enfants du salaud and Tous les jours dimanche. She will soon begin working with director Peter Greenaway on Tulse Luper's Suitcase. Television includes "Women and Men" (HBO), "The Allison Gertz Story" (ABC), Steven King's "The Stand" (ABC), "Remember W.e.n.n." (AMC), "Townies" (ABC), and most recently a pilot set in New York in 1949 entitled "The Big Time" (TNT, Warner Brothers). Molly is also a writer whose work has been published in Interview magazine and the Hartford Courant. She is currently writing a book.
