THE BARDAVON 1869 OPERA HOUSE
in downtown Poughkeepsie is the oldest continuously operating theatre in
New York State and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Bardavon presents touring artists of the
highest quality in theatre, dance, music, opera and other performance genres. Since 1994 the Bardavon has also facilitated
collaborations that bring artists, businesses and government together to create and develop free off-site outdoor events that
