Critics Circle Award, Ovation Award). Other Broadway: Footloose. Off-Broadway: Eli's Comin' (Obie Award). Regional: at the Geary Theater: Insurrection: Holding History (Drama-Logue, Best Ensemble), Tartuffe, Threepenny Opera. Berkeley Rep: Valley Song (Drama-Logue/Garland Award); Hydriotaphia, or the Death of Dr. Browne. TV: "The Starter Wife" (NAACP Image Award nomination), "Hack," "King of the Bingo Game." Film: Dreamgirls (NAACP Image Award nomination), Just Add Water, From Justin to Kelly. Anika is currently starring in Anthony Minghella's BBC series "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency." In 2009 you will be able to hear her as Princess Tiana in Disney's upcoming animated feature, "The Princess and the Frog". She trained in drama at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
