MIRIAM MARGOLYES
MIRIAM MARGOLYES played Morrible in the original London cast of Wicked, for which she won a Theatregoers’ Choice Award. More than 40 films include Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Romeo + Juliet, The Age of Innocence (BAFTA Award, Best Supporting Actress), The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, Being Julia, and Little Dorrit (L.A. Critics Circle Award, Best Supporting Actress), also voices of Fly (the female sheepdog) in Babe and Tamara in Happy Feet. TV includes “Blackadder I, II and III,” “Vanity Fair” and “Dickens in America.” West End: The Killing of Sister George, She Stoops to Conquer, others. Miriam recently performed her acclaimed one-woman show, Dickens’ Women, in Australia and New Zealand and also appeared in The Importance of Being Earnest at BAM. In 2002, Miriam was awarded an OBE by Her Majesty the Queen for her services to drama. This is her Broadway debut.
