AKIE KIMURA TOPAL
AKIE KIMURA TOPAL (Assoc. Producer) arrived in New York in 1982. As a trained dancer, she performed with numerous companies. Her production skills began with the introduction of Japanese theatre and artists to the New York stage. While a student in art history at Hunter College, she met Blue Man Group. In 1991, she became the associate producer of the New York company and, along with her husband Dr. Ron Topal, began a major effort to bring about its success.
