MARK O'DONNELL
MARK O'DONNELL received the Tony for Hairspray.
His plays include That's It, Folks!; Fables for Friends; The Nice and the Nasty (all at Playwrights
Horizons); Strangers on Earth;Vertigo Park; and the musical Tots in Tinseltown.
His books include Elementary Education and Vertigo Park and Other Tall Tales as
well as the novels Getting Over Homer and Let Nothing You Dismay. His humor, cartoons
and poetry have appeared in The New Yorker, TheAtlantic,McSweeney's
and Spy, among many others. He has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Lecomte du Nuoy
Prize, the BMI Varsity Award for lyrics and the George S. Kaufman Award.
