HOWARD McGILLIN

HOWARD McGILLIN played Captain Hook in the recent national tour of Peter Pan. He starred in the world premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s Bounce at the Goodman Theatre and the Kennedy Center, earning a Helen Hayes nomination. On Broadway, leading roles include his record-setting performance here in Phantom, as well as Kiss of the Spider Woman, She Loves Me, The Secret Garden, Anything Goes (Tony and Drama Desk nominations), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Tony and Drama Desk nominations, Theatre World Award) and Sunday in the Park With George. London appearances include Mack and Mabel and Anything Goes. He was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his New York debut in the NY Shakespeare Festival’s production of La Bohème, and he appeared Off-Broadway in As Thousands Cheer with the Drama Dept. His numerous appearances in movies and television include the animated films South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut; Swan Princess; and the upcoming All Good Things. Other voiceovers include several books-on-tape and the PBS series “Nature.” Televised concerts include Stephen Sondheim’s Follies, the Kennedy Center Honors, the Boston Pops, Carnegie Hall, the White House and the Israeli Philharmonic in Tel Aviv. Cast recordings and his solo CD, Howard McGillin: Where Time Stands Still, are available online.
