Synopsis:
December, 1989. Communist Romania is on the brink. The secret police guard the streets and thousands of spies listen to the citizens in their homes. The people are starved by a leader bent on extreme rationing to pay off the country's debts. Into this world come two lovers desperate to unite their different families. But a wedding to an American, a revolution, and its aftermath change personal as well as political relationships.
