Synopsis:
This legendary musical follows the Hawks family and their Mississippi River show boat from the 1870s to the 1920s. The story focuses on the tempestuous romance between young Magnolia and Gaylord Ravenal, a charming gambler who weds, then abandons her. We also meet Julie, a mulatto singer passing for white, whose racial background threatens her career. Score includes "Ol' Man River," "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man," "Make Believe," "Bill" and "Why Do I Love You?"
