I Wanna Destroy You is an unlikely romantic comedy that tears the trope of the gay sidekick to shreds.
Synopsis:
It's June 24th 2011 and as Marriage Equality is being passed in New York State, one gay man is having the worst day of his life. Beau is the personal assistant to the famous (and famously demanding) romance novelist Cecile Collins who is about to get married. When his longtime boyfriend dumps him on his 30th birthday and an old frenemy reappears, Beau is forced to reevaluate his so-called life.
