Stomp

Garbage can lids and brooms and sticks make up just a few of the "instruments" used for this percussive symphony. Stomp has been packing in audiences at the Orpheum Theatre since 1994, and is still running strong.

Synopsis:
Stomp is a high-energy, percussive symphony, coupled with dance, played entirely on non-traditional instruments, such as garbage can lids, buckets, brooms and sticks.

  • There is no cast recording of Stomp, but you can hear the group on two albums: Quincy Jones' Q's Jook Joint has one cut of the group, titled "Stomp." The group also appears on the soundtrack of the film Tank Girl.
  • There are two DVDs of Stomp performances: Stomp Live, filmed in Brighton, England, and the HBO special "Stomp Out Loud."
