Luker, Shindle, O'Hara and Baldwin Will Sing Davis Songs Oct. 7
21 Sep 2007
An evening celebrating the songs of Jonathan Larson Award winner Sam Davis will be presented Oct. 7 at Birdland.
The concert at the famed jazz club will feature four Broadway favorites: Mary Poppins' Rebecca Luker, Legally Blonde's Kate Shindle, South Pacific's Kelli O'Hara and Wonderful Town's Kate Baldwin. Show time is 7 PM.
Sam Davis is also a conductor and arranger, who has worked on the Broadway productions of Curtains and The Apple Tree. His songs, according to a press release, "run the gamut from driving rock numbers, soaring pop ballads, upbeat show tunes, and intimate cabaret songs."
Birdland is located in Manhattan at 315 West 44th Street. There is a $25 cover charge and a $10 food/drink minimum. Call (212) 581-3080 for reservations or visit www.birdlandjazz.com.
