By Matthew Blank
Ever wonder about the routine of a Broadway actor on one of those grueling two-performance days? Chris Sullivan, who plays the role of fullback Jim Taylor in the Broadway production of Lombardi, offers Playbill.com readers an exclusive look behind the scenes at a recent day at the theatre.
Armed with a digital camera, Sullivan snapped everything from his morning routines to pre-show rituals to after-show activities.
Here is a two-show day at Lombardi with Chris Sullivan:
Eric Simonson's Lombardi is drawn from the best-selling biography "When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi" by David Maraniss. The play is set over a week in 1965 — five years before Lombardi's death from colon cancer at age 57. The play shifts back and forth in time.
The cast of Lombardi features Dan Lauria in the title role, along with Judith Light, Keith Nobbs, Bill Dawes, Robert Christopher Riley and Chris Sullivan.
