THE SCREENING ROOM: The 2013 Grammy Hall of Fame Inductees Meet Broadway (Video)
21 Nov 2012
On Nov. 20 the Grammy Hall of Fame announced the 27 new singles and albums that would be inducted for their distinct and historic qualities.
A handful of the titles have Broadway ties, and Playbill.com has compiled a collection of videos celebrating the music. Kurt Weill's Lost in the Stars, Frank Sinatra's single of the Kander and Ebb classic "New York, New York" and Elton John's self-titled 1970 album are among the recordings to be included.
Deaf West’s production of SPRING AWAKENING floored the critics when it premiered in California, prompting the Los Angeles Times to write, "It's hard to enumerate all the ways in which Deaf West's SPRING AWAKENING is so very, very good." Now this unapologetically brilliant new production is coming to New York.
