14 Aug 2013
Playbill.com's new feature series, Their Favorite Things, asks members of the theatre community to share the Broadway performances that most affected them as part of the audience.
This week we spotlight the choices of Justin Bohon, whose Broadway credits include The Book of Mormon, 9 to 5, Les Miserables, All Shook Up, Oklahoma!, The Producers and Miss Saigon. The singing actor will be seen in The 17th Annual New York International Fringe Festival production of Charles Gershman's Milk for Mrs. Stone, which runs Aug. 16-22 at the Robert Moss Theatre at 440 Studios; visit www.FringeNYC.org.
Holed up in a seedy motel on the edge of the Mojave Desert, two former lovers unpack the deep secrets and dark desires of their tangled relationship, passionately tearing each other apart. Led by director Daniel Aukin (Back Back Back at MTC, 4,000 Miles), Tony winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur at MTC, Born Yesterday) and Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane, The Way Way Back) bring an explosive intensity to Sam Shepard’s (Buried Child, True West) landmark myth of the new Wild West.
