PHOTO EXCLUSIVE: A Stroll, a Circle and a Salad With Phillip Attmore of After Midnight
Cast member Phillip Attmore shares a recent day at the Tony-nominated new musical After Midnight. The jazz-age revue opened Nov. 3 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
I get up and get ready for the day along with my roommate and fellow cast member, CK.
I grab brunch and then go for a stroll through Bryant Park.
I say hello to Pat, the door attendant at the Brooks Atkinson Theater for mornings and early afternoons.
I pop in the office to say hello to lovely management team.
I sign in.
Just before the matinee "Half Hour Call" (30 minutes before showtime), we circle onstage (cast, crew and musicians) to connect, breathe and pray together. (Here is a picture of Vanessa Williams taking her turn to lead us in this time.)
We warm up. (Yes! Desmond Richardson giving you a "Spiderman Ballet Bar Motif!")
Our amazing crew members (wardrobe, sound, hair, etc.) help us get into costumes, mics, wigs, etc.. (Here is a picture of the male ensemble with a few members of the wardrobe crew.)
After the matinee, I get out of my show gear and head out for a light and nutritious dinner.
