Who Brought Their Fashion A-Game to the Heisenberg Opening Night?
Making a delightful splash were Lea De Laria and Beth Dover! Lea in a glen plaid grey suit and a fuchsia dress shirt with black patterned tie. The black Oxfords, sparkly cufflinks and those Drew Carey specs were the perfect accessories, and I loved the teeny fuschia stripe in the plaid that complimented the shirt! And Beth! Like a school girl gone edgy! The white lace top and little black ribbon bow tied at the collar! Almost naughty, almost nice, with the inset panel of white striped tux shirting framed by black garter lace on her bust! And the black leather min-skirt! I didn’t know which way to look! And Beth’s casual little flip was so Marlo Thomas in That Girl! Lea and Beth were a total treat!
Stephanie March, well known for playing “brainy,” came out last night as beauty! In a stunning sheath of Côte d'Azur blue lace that set off those lovely blue eyes and her summer-blond hair just brushing the shoulder. Totally “on-trend” with the lace, midi-length, the sandals and simple earrings, Stephanie gets an A+++++.
Colby Minifie and Lily Englert were a refreshing pair in the short ‘n’ simple dress trend! So comfortable and easy-breezy, but still evening-smart! Colby featured bell, mid-length sleeves and a matching button-up neck-choker in lieu of jewelry in a charming buttermilk chiffon, and Lily positively shimmered in that turquoise floral strapless! WOW!!
Nick Westrate and Billy Carter showed the guys how to do it right for the red carpet! Nick was in the uber-popular glen-plaid grey suit so on trend right now with men-in-the-know. I loved the pairing with the brown shoes and paisley tie. And Billy in a homey gingham shirt with a midnight blue velvet suit; cozy and classy! Guys, you can be comfortable and still look like a million at an opening night party! Thank you, Nick and Billy!
Sarah Stiles was fall colors personified, featuring so-on-trend knife-pleating in a mottled silvery taupe midi-skirt and a sky-blue leather moto-jacket. Romance revved up!! Sexy and sophisticated!!
And Mary Louise Parker! The leading lady arrived in a simple black matte jersey top plunging just-so, with a maxi-skirt of metallic knife-pleating flowing and sparkling at every step. Styled by her long-time friend and collaborator Jeff Mahshie, Mary Louise looked every inch the triumphant star returning to Broadway! #andScene!
