ATF is a professional, Equity, theatre company committed to new works.  ATF's professional internship program offers intense, hands-on educational opportunities for current students and early career professionals seeking an introduction to careers in the professional theatre. Our goal is to provide interns with practical experience in the shop, rehearsal room, backstage and in the front office as well as valuable networking opportunities with working theatre professionals.


Internships are available in the following areas:

Administration (3 interns - box office, marketing & development, company management)

Production Assistants (2 interns to work as assistants to the stage managers)

Artistic (1 intern - will work heavily in artistic/production administration along with asst. directing duties and directing the children's show)

Carpentry (2 interns)

Electrics (1 intern)

Sound (1 intern)

Props (1 intern)

Paint (1 intern)

Wardrobe (1 intern)

Adirondack Theatre Festival is a professional, Equity, theatre company committed to new works.  Each summer ATF produces a nine-week season of theatre for an audience of more than 9,000 using professional artists from New York City and across the country. Our season includes four mainstage productions, a new play workshop, two cabarets, and a children’s dinner theatre - all performed at the beautifully renovated, 294-seat, Charles Wood Theater. ATF is the only professional summer theatre in the Capital District, Saratoga and Adirondack regions of upstate New York solely committed to producing new works.
