Advertising & Promotions Intern


ABM is seeking an Advertising & Promotions Intern for the 2017-18 semester.
Priority will be given to candidates who are available to intern now thru April/May 2018.

Some of this season’s clients include: Broadway’s School of Rock, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, Bedlam’s Peter Pan, Transport Group’s Strange Interlude, The Off Broadway Theatre Alliance, and more!

» Assist Advertising Coordinator with media & trade plan coordination
» Conduct outreach for various trade advertising & promotions
» Assist with creating and managing client ticket vouchers & groups memo updates
» Request client promo codes and ensure they’re in working order
» Compile, upload, and maintain client promotional listings
» Gather email blast stats and related reporting
» Rotate as a notetaker in client meetings, type out & distribute notes internally
» Assist team in providing weekly client updates
» Occasionally photograph signage and/or outdoor ads to send to clients
» Various clerical work and errands as needed

Skills & Requirements:
» The ideal person for this position should thrive on being organized & detail-oriented 
» The idea of a fast-paced office should excite you!
» Proofreading, proper spelling & working knowledge of Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides are a MUST
» Must possess proficient typing skills (a typing test will be requested prior to beginning an internship)
» Excellent verbal & written communication skills
» An interest in taking on special projects is a plus -- we love self-starters!
» Must be interested in the Theatre industry

Compensation & Benefits:
» Interns are paid $10.50 per hour and therefore upheld to the same standards as all other staff members
» Gain knowledge of how theatrical/arts marketing & advertising works
» Improve and refine your writing and research skills

» Inclusion in client meetings (when appropriate)

Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week (can be a mix of whole & half days).
Office Hours: M-F 9am-5:30pm
Candidates who are available to intern thru the Spring (April/May) will be given priority.
