DESCRIPTION

Everyday Inferno Theatre Company is currently accepting applications for three open positions for their seventh annual free summer production in Central Park, A Short Life of Trouble by Brandy N. Carie (directed by Katie Pedro). Everyday Inferno seeks and strongly encourages diversity of all kinds on and offstage and are actively seeking a diverse team for this production.

About the play: Magic is real. One night, on the edge of an uncertain future, Susan stumbles across a world unlike any she's known and finds a strangely familiar face. Is she what her mother has always said she is: a changeling? Infused with traditional folk music and set in the isolated hills of 1890s Appalachia, A Short Life of Trouble follows the diverging paths of three young women, each seeking an identity, a future, and a home to call their own.

Production period:
Pre-production period begins in mid-late June
Rehearsal period begins on or around 7/5
Performances run 8/8-8/11 and 8/15-8/18 outdoors at Summit Rock in Central Park
Artist stipend: $150
