Seeking: Box Office Assistant
Part-time (generally 20-30 hours per week)

Company XIV fuses dance, theater, circus, opera, burlesque and decadent design to create one-of-a-kind theatrical experiences inspired by the court culture which flourished under the reign of Louis XIV. Founded by Artistic Director Austin McCormick in 2006, the company produces several 360-degree immersive productions annually at its 175-seat Théâtre XIV in Bushwick, Brooklyn. XIV’s commitment to pushing boundaries is unparalleled, employing dozens of eclectic artists annually in immersive and genre-defying baroque burlesque productions. Recent mainstage events include Nutcracker Rouge, Cinderella and Queen of Hearts.
Company XIV seeks a meticulous, detail-oriented, savvy individual who will assist with customer service, programming ticketing system (OvationTIx), updating ticket allocations, importing guest lists and generating sales reports. This is a part-time position which reports to the Assistant Producer.

This position is part-time with a schedule generally 20-30 hours per week. Many aspects of this position are time-sensitive. Box Office Assistant must be available 2pm-5pm prior to every scheduled performance including holidays (see schedule here: companyxiv.com/tickets). Additionally, Box Office Assistant must be available for a weekly admin day on Mondays. There are naturally occurring gaps in the performance schedule when box office responsibilities, and the Assistant’s schedule, are reduced. Due to the importance of this role frequent conflicts are not permitted.
-Program performances in OvationTix, including schedule, performance details, pricing, bar preorders, season ticket packages and promo codes.
-Generate weekly sales reports.
-Monitor and update allocations on multiple sales platforms.
-Track progress in real time in a central, master spreadsheet.
-Import guest lists from multiple sales platforms.
-Manage press, cast and crew comps.
-Respond to customer inquiries and provide great service.
-Generate daily bar preorder report.
-Generate daily guest list summary.
-Attend staff meetings as needed.
-Self motivated work ethic, sees things through to completion every time.
-Meticulous to the point of obsession.
-A genuine love for numbers, data and Excel spreadsheets is essential.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Comfortable working alone.
-Experience in juggling multiple sales platforms.
-Customer service, particularly email correspondence.
-Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.)
Experience working with OvationTix, TodayTix, Goldstar, Gilt, TDF helpful but not required.
