"When I first came to Michael two years ago, I had next to no confidence as a singer. I felt I was an actor first and foremost, and my only aim was to learn to carry a tune in an audition setting. Since then, my confidence and technique have improved exponentially; more than I possibly could have hoped for. Michael is thoughtful, honest, and not afraid to challenge his students. He is deeply devoted to everyone he teaches and is fully committed to helping them achieve their goals, large and small. If you are someone who is prepared to work hard and is serious about long-term improvement, I couldn’t recommend him more highly. "
-Annie Winneg, "Drunk Shakespeare" NYC
“By studying with Michael I have had the chance to work with someone who is incredibly patient and kind while helping me uncover a greater understanding of my voice and the versatility that I naturally have. During the first six months I developed a much stronger understanding of vocal health and maintenance and started to find myself regularly making it to the final callback in my auditions. Michael has inspired a confidence not only in myself and my ability as a singer but in that I have finally found a teacher that I can place my confidence in and trust to nurture, painstakingly at times, something that is as personal as putting ones vocal chords together and creating sound."
-Curtis Schroeger, AEA, "Tuck Everlasting" on Broadway
“As a professional dancer, I entered into voice lessons with Michael being quite unsure of myself and completely lacking confidence when I sang. Michael has completely changed the way I approach singing and has really helped me find the joy behind it. Not only have I gained awareness about how to effectively use my body when vocalizing, Michael has taught me to connect to the passion and emotion in songs and really love to sing! Michael has also helped me tremendously in preparing for auditions, and under his tutelage, I have successfully booked work. Having working with several vocal teachers, I can confidently say that Michael is the best!”
-Brooke Robyn Dairman, AEA, National Tour “Damn Yankees”
