August Wilson’s Fences begins rehearsals Monday, January 13, 2020, and runs at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center February 7- 23, 2020.
AthensWest Theatre Company, now in its fifth season, operates on an SPT3 contract with Actors’ Equity Association. Roles are available for both Equity and non-Equity performers, and non-Equity performers have the opportunity to earn EMC points through this production. All actors will be paid. Rose Maxson, African-American female, 45-55 Troy's wife and mother of his second child, Cory. Cory Maxson, African-American male, 17-23 Troy and Rose Maxsons’ son.
Lyons Maxson, African-American male, 30-40 Troy's son from a previous relationship, step-brother to Cory.
Gabriel Maxson, African-American male, 40-55 Troy's younger brother. Jim Bono, African-American male, 50-60 Troy's best friend.
Raynell Maxson, African-American female, 8-12 Troy's daughter, conceived with another woman while Troy was married to Rose.
