DESCRIPTION

Broadway Asia International (BAI), an international producing and general management firm founded by Tony Award-winning producers Marc Routh and Simone Genatt, is accepting internship applications from those candidates interested in international theater production and management. BAI creates and manages musicals, immersive theatrical experiences, non-verbal acrobatic and percussion-based shows, and large scale spectaculars in China and throughout Asia. Current projects include Kung Fu Panda Spectacular based on the mega-hit film franchise and many more in development. 

Successful applicants will be organized, self-motivated, possess excellent communication and writing skills, and be computer literate. BAI has many active shows opening in Asia over the next two years, and interns will have the opportunity to learn firsthand the process in which new international productions are produced, licensed and toured, and make vital contributions to the shows through various projects.

Responsibilities for the GM internship may include:

- Attending production meetings and taking minutes  

- Researching artistic and creative elements

- Preparing presentations and documents related to projects in development

- Organizing contracts and related documents

- Arranging travel logistics for artists and management

- Maintaining calendars for our projects and creative and management teams

- Miscellaneous office duties

Interns must have exceptional English writing skills, be skilled in excel, and ideally be available for a full-time (M-F, 10a-6p) minimun 4 month internship. We are looking for somebody to begin ASAP but we will be flexible with a start date. Internship extensions and employment opportunities may be available upon completion of a successful internship. We generally promote from within the company. BAI will provide a weekly stipend and can provide documentation to support academic credit where applicable.
