TITLE

Jobs for Theatre Artists / Costumers Affected by Hurricane Harvey

DESCRIPTION

**Costume World and the Wick Theatre offer relocation, housing, and employment in South Florida**

I want to extend my deepest sympathies to any theatres and theatre professionals who suffered damage, especially significant damage, due to hurricane Harvey. Being located in South Florida, The Wick Theatre and Costume Museum, as well as Costume World, have been extremely lucky not to have suffered crippling damage due to hurricane Irma.

I know that this situation may indeed cause many skilled theatre technicians to be out of work for a period of time. As I prepare for my fifth season, my company is transitioning from its developmental phases to install permanent crew chiefs and department heads. I am also building out a new 40,000 square foot studio facility for the Costume World Theatrical rental operation.

I am in a position to provide employment on a temporary or permanent basis and seasonal housing to technicians in a variety of areas. It is my hope that such an opportunity might bring much-needed relief and support to at least some of those who find themselves in a difficult situation at this time.

Presently, I have open crew slots in the following areas:
• Technical Director
• Master Electrician
• Sound Design
• Sound engineering
• Deck Crew
• Costume Design
• Wardrobe
• Stitchers
• Drapers, Cutters, and Dyers
• Prop masters
• Hair and makeup
• Business Development
• Box office staff
• House management

I would like to spread the word among the Houston theatre community so that experienced crew members who are without work might be able to take this opportunity for seasonal employment and and housing in Boca Raton, Florida. housing in Boca Raton, Florida.

Interested professionals are asked to submit a resume and cover letter to mar@costumeworld.com.
Again, I wish you and your company the very best as you rebuild and recuperate from hurricane Harvey. Please do not hesitate to reach out to The Wick Theatre or Costume World if there is anything we can do to help.
Sincerely,

Marilynn A. Wick
